OUR DISTRIBUTION IS SCHOOL-BASED
Each July (and, on occasion at different times of the year), volunteers we call UhuruPad Champions provide our menstrual health and hygiene education to girls attending school in Tanzania.
In conjunction with Education Officers within the Tanzanian government, we select schools for participation, generally beginning with a smaller group of students before providing the product for an entire school. We do this so that we work together to develop understandings about the support we all need - especially the girls! - to ensure success.
If you would like to request for your school to be included in our program, note that at this time we can accept schools only within a 2-hour drive of Arusha, Tanzania. In addition, our program is not a "drop off" of pads and undergarments. We must receive ample time with your students and teachers to go over the program and share what some say is its most important component - health and hygiene education.
